This model is based on the TV show Riptide which I have never seen. Anyway it is a 1960 Corvette which is very cool as it is ever so stylish.
The model is a convertible but I am not sure if it is a ragtop or hardtop. Corvettes did have removable tops. I like how the body contours with the back of the seats.
The hood opens to reveal the V8. They had moved beyond the Blue Flame 6 at this point. But I don't think it was the 427 or 454. Probably 289 or so.
I would have gone with ivory color seats instead of white but good enough.
Ha ha..I remember that show..vaguely..oh yeah, they had the big pinkish helicopter! It was a Sikorsky S-58DTN9VY(looked it up) and had a face painted on it. There were a lot of detective shows during that time..
