The Aurora Prehistoric Scenes was a set of models with bases that fit together which of course made a scene. I am thinking their were 17 kits but I may have missed one or two. It may be 6 feet across when all put together. Regardless it is pretty big. Plus there were alternative versions and locations for the pieces so it can be even bigger. I have the alternative pieces but I have some I have been working on. In the meantime the Giant Wooly Mamooth.
Actually it is a regular sized wooly mammoth but Giant Wooly Mammoth is the name of the kit. It is the second largest of the prehistoric creatures in the set. The largest is the Tyranasaurus Rex. The wooly mammoth was molded in brown with ivory colored tusks. It is a snap together kit but gluing is recommended. The legs are moveable just a bit but over the years now the connectors that make them movable are gone. These were a cross between model and toy. This came with a base which I happen to have along with a fully painted model. I am thinking we may need a few weeks of Prehistoric Scenes.
He's magnificent.
