forces of Valor World War II German Schwimmwagen Type 166 1/48 Scale

I didn't see anything around here I felt like posting so on with the companion piece from yesterday's post. This is the German counterpart to the amphibious jeep. It is an amphibious VW bug. Although it was called a Kubelwagen back then. VW reissued the Kubelwagen as The Thing in the 1970s which was also semi-amphibious. The Schwimmwagen had a boat-like hull and also had a propeller. Do not think it was ocean worthy though. The US amphibious vehicles were meant to land on a beach and these were designed to cross a river. This does have a paddle just in case.
This also comes with many accessories seen in the first two photos. There is a canopy for a top up version but then you couldn't see many of the amazing details.
Next week I may post my cat Mr Jingles as he apparently is a collectible cat.
