    Hello all!
Thank you for all of the help you’ve given with pieces over the years. This is a new challenge.
I bought this bowl several years ago at an online auction but missed the pick-up date due to a mix-up. When I called the owner of the company he apologized but said they no longer had the piece and they couldn’t issue a refund. He’s a good guy so I told him that I understood, but it broke my heart. It’s now 5 years later and the bowl came up for auction again, and I won it!. Fortunately, though I couldn’t make the pick up date once again,, a friend was headed to the pick up place to pick something up that he had won and offered to pick it up for me! So I have it. Approximately 9 inches in diameter 6+1/2 inches high. Entirely hand decorated. I’m sorry that I don’t know how to show the mark properly.
Hopefully someone will be able to tell me something about it.
    Amore per tutti,
    Tony????????

It's really a beauty Tony lucky you ! Japanese Late Edo Imari as apostata said. Here's a Google snippet:
Bakumatsu (??, "End of the bakufu") was the final years of the Edo period when the Tokugawa shogunate ended. Between 1853 and 1867, Japan ended its isolationist foreign policy known as sakoku and changed from a feudal Tokugawa shogunate to the modern empire of the Meiji government.

captivating , this was quite a jo for an overestemated would-be in japanese , and the sun of u gun Mikelvenv 85 get me by surprise, by means of the Bakufu

Well the mark is known you got uzufuku and fuku ( and even kakufuku)

Some things i know for sure, and some are guessing

Let say got hizen kilns also probably prefectute or province something like, but the officicial is from 1863, before that you still got Hizen ware ( it all coincides by the way partley

most fuku marks who looks bale knotted of straw mark and a tuning fork on the left, in all kinds of colors (even sothesby got it Gorenke period so the spread is real. wide)

But that is a FUKU MARK (fortune etc , hapiness , bla bla bla)
BUT here we are in an UZUFUKU

believe i now by heart there is a substantian someone around 1876 Augustus the Strong has been busy with it something like picture 38 in the catalogue named UZufuke als no running fuku i rember it something like 20 years ago

The rest is alledged the round running fuku,s are earlier and more Southehern than the open frames ones uzufukes

by the way i DON,T UNDERSTAND THIS DARKNESS OF COBALT BLUE

valuewise it is not that important i think
the fakes are surprising low a few in the MEJJI period strange i don,t , why don,t you redifine this the 2 letter HIzen mark

and they faked the coin and ribbon bown with wath the call COMB chinese border in the NAbeshima , but that is amateur , so our odds are going to go up

er must be a substantian by LORD fogot his name somewhere in 1882

What is it it almost looks like DArwin sketching DOdO,s IMO it is an ochidori ( mandarin duck)with a TRAIL TRACK MIHOGAME ( turtle , with a trail track coat _poetic translaten )and now i bail out because it is too difficult for me (antroposofical)-maybe connection to chinese ( money bags feng shui - maybe connection to FUKUSUKESAN japanese dolls etc)

the 3 de a foo dog - a qilin or a pixiu, got no hoofs got no manes + dragon head, got no flare tale , but a spiderweb tail , possible foodog

alledged there is anexclusion theoretical exclusiion that blue underglaze bottom , can,t bee created before 1800, concerning snake eye bowls = bulls eye bowwls , the point is the bottow id comompletely , it got an inclination

Bakumatsu point of view , actually i didn,t noticed it, and i didn,t knew it
I don,t next to nothing about , IMO Bakumatsu . mostly 3 colored in stead of 5, this probably tonalitily also still kinrande

everything in consideration possible tands more to mejji , but i don,t knowthe sort of scrivere ( sketsy type os ochidori and the SAMson type of foodog , don,t recognize edo blue tonality of the mark

no knowlodge of Bakumatsa , I thought it is mainly 3 color instead of 5 color and is made for Yikii 9( type of bowls)

don,t asked me to asses this lets take chinese XIANfeng it is something also 12 period without marking i am chanceless

i ikke this sort of scetscy scrivere Darwin Okidori mandarin almost a brown grissaile grisaille the simpeler the better , the green is a bit shallow i don,t know , probably iki looks that because the bourgondy is quite dense

i could be completelijke wrong , lets wait for Sandea or Wexvel, i like this, i think it is slightly , some type of atyphecal

    10. apostata apostata, 1 year ago
lord bowles discussed this in 1882 , in new i saw it somewhere something in the dresdner collection 73-76 picture 38 <39 ??, at least they did there best on the uzufuku, actually they representing un uzufuku , don,t ferget that much
