These were made by Gabriel in the US but in Europe by Marx Toys. But it isn't quite the same Marx Toys as in the US. This was a different company using the Marx name under license and releasing some of the same products. BOK that was quite sim[
ut in this case they were releasing someone else's product under the Marx name.
The Lone Ranger Rides again series was released by Gabriel starting in 1973. They had many sets that went far beyond the original Lone Ranger series but had a comic linking it to the Lone Ranger. Anyway it was just a basis for western figures. So you can dress your Tonto or Red Sleeves figure up in this gear. Anyway they were all very well made. It was more popular in Europe than the US thus the German language seen here.
In the long ago I was buying sets like these for $25. That would be 20 years ago. Prices have gone way up on these. But I got this at a price that was up but not way up.
There are some great pieces for Tonto here, I really like them and you must be the only kid on the block with these beautes. Congrats on the price too, as all collectibles it seems have gone way up in price !~
fortapache, Cool. :-)
Yeah, Europeans in general, and Germans in particular are (or least they used to be) crazy about the old American West.
Think you very much Phil. I may be the only one within a few blocks.
Thank you very much keramikos. They did like their westerns like Ol' Shatterhand.
