Screw top caps came into use in the early 1900s. This bottle has a cork top making it a bit older. It may be even older as the lip of the bottle is a bit uneven. An uneven bottle lip is a sign that is was made by a glass blower. In the late 1800s glass bottles were being made by machines and the bottle lips were uniform. I just looked this up although I already knew about the cork tops. No contents left in this. The cork may have been replaced but if it was it was long ago. Anyway you can pick up a true antique for $10.
Nice bottle with original label
