A beautifully restored Richfield station in Rancho Cucamonga California. Or as locals call it, Kook. It was built in 1915 and is in the Spanish Revival that was popular for a few decades. Behind it is a fire station also in the same style. That stretch has been devoid of original Route 66 buildings and signs for some time. Go down the road east a few miles and many of the old motels including the Wigwam Motel can be seen.
Posting from my phone. Hopefully the images ate all right side up.
Gorgeous images !~
Beautiful Spanish Revival building, and your phone takes great photos, super colors and clarity
Wonderful photos Fort! I can imagine a period car pulling in for a fill up. :)
So wonderful to see this old service station restored. The photos are outstanding!!!
I like how they have an "out of gas" sign..with 17 cent/gallon prices they probably get some dummy stopping looking to fill up.
Thank you very much Phil.
Thank you very much Newfld.
