This figure is based on an M1 carbine with an infrared scope. It was designed in WWII to protect against Japanese infiltrators at night. Apparently the large red night is not visible except through the scope on the rifle. It is powered by the battery in the backpack. The M1 carbine is not a lot of flash or noise plus it won't damage the scope.
Dragon is the Cadilac of action figures so they are rich in details. There is webbing inside the helmet and the magazines are removable from the pouch and rifle.
Circa 2000 was perhaps the silver age of 12" action figures. Most of the vehicles and figures were made around then. Not the vintage GI Joe but the quality and quantity was actually higher. I just freed Sam form his box where he has been imprisoned since 2001.
Nice to see a Korean War action figure, it was my dad's war though he was in the Navy
Incredible detail on this one!! Even the boots are look like real leather.
Thank you very much Newfld.
