Please note the rock formation and plants are just background and not an official part of this post. What this the subject of this post are the about 16 new dinosaurs I have picked up and various fleas the last few months. As the title says these are from the mid 1950s through the 1970s although perhaps the s not so much. The 1960s was the golden age for the Marx playset pieces. The technology had improved to make sharper looking figures, earlier figures were a bit more chunky, And in the 70s the plastic had more of a glossy waxy color. Some say the earlier figures had lead but this in dispute.
Certain colors have more value than others. Tan is the most valuable of these followed by dark brown. Green is the least valuable as they were sold in large bagfulls in this color.
I took photos last night without the background pieces and they were quite horrid. Thus a new improved version.
You have some of the greatest tan dinos I have seen, some very nice ones, nicely modeled !~
Nice set and they're displayed very well!!
