The exciting post from yesterday as promised. This is a reissue set of the original Marx Alamo made in the 1950s, perhaps 75% reproduction. Most of the figures were made from the original Marx molds but some were missing so not all the figures are present. Plus a few others thrown in that were not a part of this set. Oddly Indians were a part of this set and the original. The reason was to get the piece count up. I would have thought adding more Mexican troops would have been better.
The best feature here is the tin litho Alamo. The figure next to the chapel is Davy Crockett.
I believe this is the anniversary of the third day of the Alamo siege. Tomorrow will be the battle so once again you will not want to miss that.
Great Alamo playset!! I love the reissues almost as much as the originals.
Cool ,, just like going to the movie theater usually go on a Saturday afternoon and you had to come back next week for the next exciting adventure :)
I find it hard to believe that every American kid would not want one of these !~
Thank you very much Phil. Part 2 is taking longer than I thought, the cats are not helping.
