The photos of this don't show the vehicle too well but that works out well as it is a cheap blow mold. But vehicles for the Marines and Navy are rare. In fact I am not sure if they made any. But this will pass for one. I know the US Army used these in WWII but not aure if the other services did. It is the 2 1/2 ton truck/duece and half that has been made into an amphipian. This one is made to fit 1/6 scale figures but is a bit smaller than 1/6 scale. Not uncommon 1/6 scale vehicles can be huge. But still good enough for play value.
I put away my GI Joe Marines when I had a new water heater installed and I am not sure where I put them but I managed to get enough together, had to use some Ultimate Soldier figures to fill it out along the Marines I could find. There are 2 sailors also, the driver is barely visible.
Irwin made vehicles for GI Joe as Hasbro did not have the ability to make blow mold vehicles. Hasbro did make their own but they were much higher quality and much more expensive. Also Irwin making these on their own to pick up on the GI Joe craze at the time.
