    Hi, This is my new to me Victor VV 1X ? or VV IX ? # 449080 record player in tiger oak also known as quartersawn Oak I found online $20 which I could not believe the $20 price I thought it was sure to be snatch up at that price after a few days the selling contacted me and I was the lucky buyer it’s was sold as is seller had no idea if it worked or how to use it also has some veneer damage loss and some staining to the oak top and water damage mostly to the oak when I got home I attached the Crank and put in a record to test it and see if it will play I was pleasantly surprised it started up after I Cranked I would love to know more about this record player like what is the exact model and age also where I can find some veneer strips to replace the damaged missing quartersawn, oak veneer

      It's definitely VV-IX, because it's Roman numbers.

      Victrola the Ninth made its debut in 1911, and per the serial number table, 449080 rolled off of the line in 1920:
