Kirby House Hotel, Milwaukee 1851-1929. The Kirby House Hotel was built in 1851. In 1862 Abner Kirby bought out his partners and renamed the building The Kirby House. In 1864 Kirby became Milwaukee's sixtenth Mayor as a Democrat. The kirby House was torn down in 1929 to be replaced by the First Wisconsin National Bank building.
This Kirby House Bell Boy badge was made by Schwaab of Milwaukee and dates this badge to about 1888-1890.
A postcard featuring the hotel is dated 1907.
