National cash register Model 130 found last summer in Fort Wayne, Indiana out picking. Looks to be original with top sign and keys. The first patent date on register is Nov. 29, 1887 and the last patent date on register is Oct. 26, 1896. The serial number is 400375. The register works just like the day it was new over 100 years ago. It sits in the living room on the desk so everyone can enjoy a beautiful piece from the past when they enter the room.

Wow what a piece. I've been looking for one of these for some time. Quite a "pick" especially in the great condition it appears to be in. I'm new to the site here but it's exactly where I need to be. Now all I have to do is start taking some pics to share some of my finds down through the last 25+ years. I could spend several hours just looking at all of your cool stuff. Thanks for sharing.

I just saw one of these on a TV show that was found in an abanded storage unit . Yours looks to be made of brass . The one on TV was made of copper and was very rare . I think it was appraised at several thousand dollars . I do not remember what they said one like yours was worth but it is very nice .

Doesn't work. It is therefore circa 1896.
I suggest fixing the title or description to whichever is the truth. Pretty piece, though.
